A great IMPACT can be made when everyone gets involved.
How many LIVES will you make a difference to today? 
A young girl was picking up starfish off the beach and tossing them out into the sea. Meanwhile she was approached and asked, "Why in the world are you throwing starfish into the water?" The young girl replied "If the starfish are still on the beach when the tide goes out and the sun rises, they will die" Upon hearing this, the person replied "That is ridiculous. There are thousands of miles of beach and millions of starfish. You can't really believe what you're doing could possibly make a difference!" The young girl picked up another starfish, paused thoughtfully, and remarked as she tossed the starfish out into the sea, "It made a difference to this one!" adapted from, The Star Thrower Loren Eiseley 1907 - 1977 |
